At Hickman Community Hospital the privacy of your health information has always been an important priority. Our employees respect the confidential nature of what we do and are required to reaffirm annually their commitment to maintain a high standard for privacy.

As part of St. Thomas Health Services, Hickman Community Hospital has both a Corporate Privacy Officer and a Facility Privacy Officer. These individuals are responsible for the on-going assurance that our facilities are in compliance with the standards set by HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). The Privacy Officer is also responsible for the development of policies and procedures that insure the protection of your health information as well as the training of our employees on those policies. We are also taking further measures to protect patient information that is stored electronically on our computer systems.
We will continue our commitment to the privacy and confidentiality of your health information by complying with the standards expressed in the HIPAA guidelines.
